Spode at Mulberry fashion week

Leading tableware brand, Spode, partnered with leading British lifestyle brand, Mulberry last weekend, to celebrate the best of quality, craftsmanship and timeless British design

The ‘Beyond Heritage’ event, which was held at London’s prestigious Spencer House, launched Mulberry’s Spring Summer ’18 collection during London Fashion Week, and featured key appearances from Spode’s iconic Blue Italian collection.

The partnership between Stoke-on-Trent’s iconic tableware collection and Mulberry, allowed attendees to delve into the brands’ long-standing history and appreciate their mutual devotion to quality and craftmanship.

The event included bespoke Spode workshops during the weekend of 17th and 18th February, providing consumers with insight into the intricate copper plate engraving process founded by Josiah Spode I, and hands-on involvement with the modern method of print transfer, lithography.

Guests who attended the live event on Friday 16 February were able to sample the beautiful Blue Italian for themselves as bespoke cocktails and refreshments were served on key pieces from the range after the show.

Marking its 200th anniversary in 2016, Spode’s elegant Blue Italian design, which features a finely detailed 18th century and Imari Oriental border encompassing a serene Italian countryside scene in stunning shades of cobalt blue, has established itself as British classic with a love spanning the globe.
