Enhanced services will give GA members peace of mind

From September, members of The Giftware Association will be able to enjoy an enhanced package of benefits which will include what is widely regarded as one of the most significant benefits that can be offered by a trade body – insurance protection for employment disputes and legal defence relating to data protection, tax, VAT, PAYE and NIC investigations amongst other things

The GA scheme, negotiated by the British Allied Trades Federation for the associations it supports, will be for both suppliers and retailers who are members of The GA.  It will differentiate itself from some others being offered by trade bodies in that it will give enhanced tax inspection cover for members in addition to an enhanced liability cover.

Says Isabel Martinson, chief executive of The GA: “We are continuously seeking to add extra value to GA membership.  The enhanced Legal Insurance Protection Scheme is a vital addition to the deeper specialist advice now available to members on subjects as diverse as marketing, social media and public relations to employing sales agents, protecting intellectual property, via Copywatch, and routes to market.

“Any business can be subject to unannounced inspections and claims and these additional benefits will be able to give our members greater peace of mind.  We are also in the process of building a completely new website to give our members even more information and promotion than they currently enjoy.”

The GA is confident that these additional benefits will help it to attract new members – particularly retailers – when they are unveiled at Autumn Fair International.

GA retailer members set to benefit from special show offers
Retailers who belong to The GA have been sent vouchers which entitle them to take up exclusive offers at Autumn Fair International – ranging from special discounts and free products to the waiving of carriage charges and minimum order values.

Exhibitors taking part in the scheme include Widdop Bingham, Junction 18, Opal London, Salco, Sebnini, Dodo Pad, Lagoon and Blue Eyed Sun, to name just a few.

If you’re not a retailer member of The GA and you would like to take advantage of these super offers, it’s not too late to do so. Simply visit The GA stand in Hall 3 K01 and a friendly member of staff will help you understand how to complete the membership application form, as well as providing insight into how GA services can help save you money, save you time and make you money.
