Giggles all round from Lesser & Pavey

In the 1950’s Donald McGill experienced trial and tribulation as his postcards were deemed to be unsuitable for public display despite depicting innocent scenes and humorous text.

In 1954 Donald was prosecuted, his cards were banned and destroyed.

Now these images are probably viewed as tame compared to what is acceptable today! Donald, a talented artist, captured good humour through his work whilst being topical and produced 12,000 comic cards.

Lesser & Pavey, under license, are reportedly delighted to bring these images alive once more with a touch of nostalgia and harmless humour to the giftware market.

The images are being placed upon quality fine china mugs, coasters and magnets, and will definitely bring a smile to the faces of both retailers and customers alike!
L&P are exhibiting at PG Live on stand 531.
