Your Gift Industry Needs You

GA widens search for chief exec as it asks the industry for help

THE SEARCH IS ON for a champion of the Gift Industry to be the next Chief Executive of the Giftware Association.
The GA are seeking someone who understands the needs of gift industry suppliers and retailers both large and small. The right candidate will be passionate about the industry and supportive of its many growing businesses. They will be a capable leader with strong communication skills that is familiar with social media and the important part that it plays within a modern evolving industry. They will be required to act as ambassador for the industry as a media spokesperson and in representing our members' interests to government. Financially astute they will also have experience of managing a small team and working well with people. Do you know anyone that shares these traits and is looking to make a real difference in the next stage of their career?

GA Chairman Michael Papé, pictured, said: “It’s crucial that we appoint the right person, even though the process may take longer than we would like. We are searching far and wide and need your help not to leave any stone unturned."

"While we have already interviewed some good people, we are still looking for a stand-out candidate with the leadership qualities and attributes we believe are essential to take our dynamic organisation forward."  As we believe that almost everyone in the gift and home industry and many in the wider trade associations' community are already aware that we are looking for a new chief executive, we’re widening the search by not only using traditional methods of advertising but social media too.”
