Marvell's stock goes live
Marvell’s has launched a new
addition to its website in the shape of
live stock updates.
The website is now directly linked to the in-house computer system
and
updates the actual stock levels twice a day providing some of the most
up to date website information in the business.
Customers will now benefit from knowing exactly what proportion of their
order will be delivered immediately and will have a good idea when the
rest will be available, making stock monitoring simpler and managing the
‘just in time’ stock holding systems being favoured by larger retailers
in the sector such as John Lewis, less of a headache for the smaller
customer.
Whilst out of stock items cannot be produced on demand, online stock
levels will make it easier to schedule deliveries and ensure customers
have enough of available lines to tide them over until the next wave.
This will work in conjunction with Marvell's recent arrival on Facebook.
Aimed at improving the communication channels with their stockists,
regular updates on stock arrivals and sell outs plus the chance to leave
reviews and comments as well as post images of shops and displays on
the site is hoped to further improve the already enviable relationship
that Marvell's has with its customers, many of whom have been with them
for over ten years.
Marvell's customers will now benefit from not only knowing exactly how
much of their stock will be available for immediate delivery but also
the expected delivery dates of out of stock consignments, making
ordering and forward planning of displays that little bit simpler.
