Online award for East Sussex gift shop
Bev and Andy Toogood of Little Sunflowers in Horam, East Sussex, have
won the Online Retail Awards (Children’s Fashion Category) 2010.
This follows hot on the heels of Bev being a finalist for the Best
Growing Business at the BusinessMums Conference in Brighton last month.
In a gloomy economic climate, co-founder Bev Toogood was thrilled to discover the news of their win, She said: “We couldn’t be more delighted at this recognition. To even be mentioned in the same sentence as winners in the other categories like NotOnTheHighStreet.com is an amazing achievement!
“Moving to East Sussex in 2007 has been the making of our business and this award is effectively a huge thank you to our loyal customers who have stuck with us through thick and thin - we can never thank them enough.”
Little Sunflowers launched in 2004 and with a winning combination of a fantastic shop in Horam and a busy online store continues to go from strength to strength despite the recession. The children’s fashion and gift shop which offers fabulous childrenswear and gifts has a strong local presence but also a big overseas following. Around 50% of Little Sunflowers packages are delivered within the UK, with the remaining 50% destined for overseas. Local customers order online and then collect their goods from the shop or have them delivered for free.
