Manchester Gift Show - 9th-11th September 2012
The Manchester Gift Show, self-denominated the UK’s Fresh & Vibrant Gift, Home & Fashion Accessory Trade Event offers buyers the opportunity to see a very broad range of products covering giftware, British handmade crafts, textiles, ceramics, glassware, handmade fragranced gifts and cosmetics, greetings cards, children’s toys and accessories, home furnishings, fashion accessories and much more.
Following on from the success enjoyed by British designer / makers at the launch show last year there will be an area devoted to British handmade crafts at this year’s event. There will also be a live demonstration studio where visitors will be able to experience the skill and creativity used to create some of the items available at the show. A schedule of demonstrations and workshops will be published on their website closer to the show but you can expect to see a high calibre of artists. Already confirmed are Cliff Wright [famed illustrator of the Harry Potter and Wind In The Willows books], sculptors, jewellery makers, ceramic artists and various different methods of glass production.
Free parking [directly outside the entrance], Free WIFI and high quality / low cost catering are all important factors which make the event unique and enjoyable for visitors while the location of EventCity [adjacent to The Trafford Centre] provides an extensive choice of activities on site, such as three large Premier Inn hotels, over 60 restaurants / cafes and bistros, crèche, cinemas, indoor skiing, golf, sky diving, legoland discovery centre, bowling etc. making Manchester Gift Show a destination to look forward to in addition to the fantastic line up of brands showing at the event.
Access is superb with 25% of the UK population living with ninety minute’s drive of Manchester plus extensive rail and air links allowing access from anywhere in the UK and Ireland within a couple of hours, plus for those travelling from further afield, an excellent opportunity to sample some of the legendary culture, cuisine and nightlife on offer in Manchester itself.
