All change at Hallmark

Steve Wright steps down after 22 years, Amanda Del Prete takes over as UK MD

Hallmark's Steve Wright has decided to step down at the end of this year, leading to changes to the Bradford-based company’s senior leadership team.

Toronto-based Cindy Mahoney (pictured top left) will transition into the role of international CEO for all operations from her current post as Hallmark co-international CEO.

Amanda Del Prete, currently product and creative director at Hallmark in Britain, will step into the role of UK managing director as of January 1, 2019.
After 22 years of service, Steve has taken the decision to retire at the end of the year – he joined Hallmark’s fine arts development team in 1996 in the role of sourcing and technical director, progressing quickly to more senior roles, becoming co-international CEO in 2012.

Steve has led the business through significant change, with a focus on the customer in a changing retail environment, and said: 'I feel like the time is right for me to leave the business and I’ll take with me very fond memories of the journey Hallmark has been on.

'I know the company will be in great hands with Cindy and Amanda.' Amanda (pictured top right) added: 'We thank Steve for his many years of service and commitment to the business. His knowledge, passion and love for the industry is visible at Hallmark and he will be long remembered. We wish him well for the future!'

In the announcement Hallmark said: 'These changes will continue to strengthen the leadership team as our priorities continue to be both a creative and customer-focused business.'
