Carat! on stage: experts with the latest news and trends

Lecture programme for the jewellery sector at Tendence 2015

Trends, informative analyses and interesting perspectives will be on offer at the ‘Carat! on stage’ area in the Tendence jewellery hall (9.3). From 29 August to 1 September, top speakers from the sector will give practical tips and pass on valuable expertise:
  • Without fail, buyers should find time for the lecture on ‘Accessory Trends 2015/2016’ by Gabriela Kaiser.
  • The trend expert will also give tips on presenting products at the point of sale.
  • The subject of Stefan Suchanek’s lecture is the senses as the key to sales success.
  • The interior architect, management consultant and television presenter will show how the sense can be recruited as sales-promotion aids.

‘From the monitor into the shop window’ is the title of the lecture to be given by graduate designer Karin Hoffmann. Within the framework of her lecture, she will tackle the question of what specific benefits digital production processes offer goldsmiths or jewellers.

Tell me what watch you wear and I will tell you who you are: in the lecture on ‘Tools for the stage of life’, everything revolves around using watches and jewellery to create an identity. Insights into this subject will be offered by Senior Researcher & Advisor Marta Kwiatkowski-Schenk of Switzerland’s GDI Gottlieb Duttweiler Institute.

In her lecture, personnel coach Katja Dittmar will give tips on ‘customers and sales orientation’ and show how sales personnel can approach people successfully.

By way of contrast, the focus of Oliver Schmid’s lecture is on the ‘Sales style guide’. The CEO of ‘politur’ trend agency will offer ideas on how to optimise visits to the fair.

Another highlight in the ‘Carat! on stage’ programme is the roundtable discussion on ‘Multichannel strategies for the retail trade’, which will also take account of Messe Frankfurt’s new Management Report on ‘Personal accoutrements in everyday life: study into the German jewellery, watches and accessories market’. The discussion is being organised by GZ – Goldschmiede Zeitung newspaper for goldsmiths and Messe Frankfurt. The roundtable will be chaired by Axel Henselder, member of the Editorial Board of GZ.
