Christmas décor has a modern and exciting twist this winter

Aaron Jackson, the designer and founder of Think Outside, creators of remarkable furniture and décor, for gift, home and garden has created the company’s first Christmas collection.

This is the first time Think Outside has created a Christmas line, which is its magical and joyful take on Christmas decorations for interiors and exteriors, in its signature style of bright, colourful and quirky sculptures, hand-made from recycled materials.

The full collection will be unveiled in the UK at Glee 2015, NEC, Birmingham, and landing in retailers across the country from October.

This collection features 14 pieces in total, including St Nicholas, Frosty the Snowman, Christmas trees plus reindeer and sleigh.

These sculptural pieces include hues of vibrant reds, icy blues and frosty whites and has a distressed, and attractive finished look.

This comes from the products being made from 44 gallon barrel drums and then being manipulated and welded by hand. Overall, adding a rustic and modern-traditional Christmas touch to any room or garden.

Aaron Jackson created the new Christmas characters as a direct result of customer demand for unique seasonal pieces in the traditional ee-i-ee-i-o artistic style that the brand is known for.

He said: “Christmas is a special time of year, but it also adds a little pressure for people to style their homes in a unique way, whether that be because you’re entertaining friends or you want to add a magical seasonal touch for young children.

“People want something different for their home that stands out from the crowds and acts as a talking point from all the mass produced paraphernalia that’s out there – we find this even more so during the festive season.”

Like every Think Outside product, each piece within the Christmas series is individually hand-made, taking between three to four days to complete. Furthermore, every purchase supports a developing community in Vietnam, where Think Outside’s workshop practices the company ethos of upskilling locals and building communities through sustainable business practice.

Think Outside’s Christmas series is an extension of the company’s most popular collection: ee-i-ee-i-o, which strives to radiate joy amongst its audience by embracing quirkiness and colour. The broader collection features animals and everyday items, such as farm animals and popular vehicles to create sculptures and functional items such as coolers or planters.

Aaron concluded: “After many years of seeing the industry evolve, now is the perfect time for ee-i-ee-i-o to make its mark in the Christmas arena. At this time of year, people want decor that brings joy and is a timeless seasonal addition to their home, which can be bought out to show year after year and these pieces do just that.”

The collection can be seen for the first time at the Glee 2015 on 14–16 September, Atrium Halls 17 - 20, Stand 18N10-P1, NEC.
