Exclusively Shows 2019 open today

Attracting everyone from high street independent stores and e-tailers, to garden centres, department stores and supermarkets, the Exclusively Shows in London have become the UK’s premier showcase of housewares, tabletop and small domestic appliances

Exclusively Housewares 2019 opens today at the Business Design Centre in London and runs through June 12.

This year’s Shows, taking place June 11-12, at the Business Design Centre in London, welcomes 32 new exhibitors, taking the total number of brands in attendance to 275, with six new exhibitors in Exclusively Electrical and 26 newbies in Exclusively Housewares, with brands such as KitchenCraft, Smidge, Amefa, Mepra and Eko taking their place at the show.

New brands taking to the Exclusively stage this year include Royal Doulton, returning after many years and set to unveil its Live Bold campaign; as well as the Laura Ashley Tableware brand from Wegter, making its debut, along with Casa & Casa, Mepal and Sara Miller London, the latter joining Costa Nova and Casafina on the My Gifts Trade stand.

There promises to be 'more environmentally conscious product than we have ever seen before', says Lindsey Hoyle, sales director, Exclusively Shows. New sustainable brand Smidge is exhibiting with its first-to-market sustainable material; while other new eco-friendly brands include Eko and Swig, the latter an eco-friendly drinkware brand on the Valerie Graham stand. And, Made in Germany brand Koziol, is set to deliver its design-led eco-friendly recyclable tableware products on the Haus stand.

T&G will also return to the show, having exhibited since the very beginning, with its FSC-certified wood products, from cutting boards to serveware, along with its award-winning eco-friendly Ocean Gift range.

'Exclusively works for us because we meet major buyers, many independent cookshops and some export customers,' says Jenny Handley, marketing manager, T&G. 'The timing, in June, is good too because major retailers still have time to not only refine their Christmas plans, but make a good start for the following year’s purchasing. Independents can plan their autumn and New Year sales.'

In addition to a brand-new initiative with global food trend spotters, the food people, which will introduce key food trends to visitors, along with daily trend talks (11.15am each day); Trend consultancy Scarlet Opus will return with their popular trend displays, talks and tours, offering invaluable insight into the various trends that will influence the homewares sector over the next few seasons.

Located in the trend hub, the Trend Display will deliver three consumer and design trends incorporating exhibitor product; while the Trend Tours invite visitors on a show tour pointing out the Recommended On-Trend products; and the Trend Talks will present the key trends, 10.30am each day.

Exclusively Housewares takes place today and tomorrow at the Business Design Centre in London.
