For the man who thought he had everything!
Now you can own [even wear] part of the oldest and most original flying Spitfire in the world!
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the legendary Spitfire a London company has produced two stunning tributes to one of the most recognised aerial icons in the world.
TMB Art Metal has acquired actual original Duralumin metal from Supermarine Spitfire ‘P7350’ and transformed it into an exquisite limited edition of desktop sculptures and cufflinks.
Built at Supermarine’s Castle Bromwich factory, Spitfire P7350 first flew in August 1940 during the Battle of Britain and went on to survive World War 2 [complete with bullet holes to prove it] to the present day and is now recognised as the oldest most original airworthy Spitfire in existence.
One of the most attractive and tactile tributes to the legendary Spitfire ever created – and a tribute that will resonate with those with a passion for history - the sculptures are intended as a desk-piece or paperweight and consequently possess functionality as well as form. Entirely hand crafted in England to the highest standard, the little Spitfire is an exquisite miniature, presented in TMB’s ‘Essence of Form’ house style, portraying just the basic shape of the Battle of Britain era Spitfire.
Even smaller are the cufflinks, entitled ‘Spirit of 1940’, tiny but perfectly sculpted, eye-catching representations of the Spitfire’s elliptical form, permitting gentlemen to wear one of the nation’s most valued icons upon the sleeve – quite literally tangible links to the past!
A certificate of provenance guaranteeing the authenticity and originality of the metal of which they are crafted accompanies both sculptures and cufflinks.
