Henri’s hired – again!

GA chairman to help Lord Sugar decide who wins The Apprentice in Sunday’s final

Watch out for Henri Davis popping up on the BBC on Sunday – for the Giftware Association’s chairman has been hired for the second year running as one of the judging panel for The Apprentice final.

The winner of the 13th series of the hit show, which sees Lord Alan Sugar pick the young entrepreneur for a £250,000 investment and the chance of a business partnership, will be revealed in the 14th episode that airs at 9pm on Sunday, December 17.

Independent retail advisor and Greetings Today columnist Henri, who is also head of buying and merchandise at Scribbler, already knows who the two finalists are, but the rest of the country has to wait until tomorrow night (Wednesday, December 13) for the Interviews show.

She revealed her role yesterday: 'I can now tell you that I’m one of the judges of The Apprentice final airing this coming Sunday – no idea if I’ll be on the editing room floor though.”

In tonight's show, Lord Sugar will be seen interviewing the final five – florist Elizabeth McKenna, recruitment firm owner James White, digital marketing manager Joanna Jarjue, construction magazine director Michaela Wain and confectionery entrepreneur Sarah Lynn – to whittle them down the two for Sunday’s head-to-head challenge.

It’s the second time Henri has been involved, she is pictured in last year’s final show where she was among 250 industry experts brought in to help advise on whether novelty gifts company owner Courtney Wood or homemade cake maker Alana Spencer should win, sitting in the main semi-circle of 20 people alongside Lord Sugar and his sidekicks Karren Brady and Claude Littner for the pitch at London’s City Hall.

And she was one of the half-dozen, including John Lewis Commercial Director Paula Nickolds, shown advising Lord Sugar after Courtney’s pitch for his Purple Whale company, who are now well known in the gifts industry, but the show finished with Ridiculously Rich By Alana winning the investment.
