Window dressing inspiration at Tendence

For many visitors, Karin Wahl’s window dressing workshops are a must-attend at the international consumer goods fair in Frankfurt.

“The response to our window dressing live format was great right from the start and has continued to increase over the last three years. Thus, Tendence offers tangible added value for visitors, especially small to medium-sized retailers”, says Nicolette Naumann, the vice-president Ambiente/Tendence.

The show alone is well worth a visit. “I don’t want to give away too much now but I can say that fir trees will, of course, play an important role with regard to the busy time before Christmas”, says Wahl discussing the design of the lecture and presentation area in Hall 9.2.

In the middle of the Gifts Unlimited and Personal Accessories product groups, an impressive forest of fir trees will provide the setting where visitors can gather a host of ideas for shop window and in-store concepts.

Karin has also come up with four themed windows based on the culture and Christmas traditions in France, Great Britain, Italy and Scandinavia, she takes a broader view and presents styles between classic and modern, traditional and trendy.

“It is really exciting when you visit the shopping metropolises of other countries during the run-up to Christmas and I would like to share some of my impressions with Tendence visitors”, says Wahl.

Lasting almost half an hour, the live workshops will be held three times a day during Tendence: at 11am, 12pm and 1pm on 29 August, at 11am, 1pm and 4pm on 31 August and at 11am, 1pm and 3pm on 1 September. There will also be a simultaneous translation into English for international visitors.
