ITE trio in fashion

The ITE Group’s Fashion Portfolio heralds the new year with host of new appointments and promotions across the portfolio which includes Pure London, Pure Origin, Scoop, Jacket Required and MODA

Julie Driscoll, the newly appointed UK Regional Director at ITE Group says: 'I am delighted to announce that Martin Arnold will be joining us as the new Portfolio Director for the Fashion Portfolio responsible for: Pure London, Pure Origin, Scoop, Jacket Required and MODA. Martin is an industry figurehead and will lead the portfolio into the next stage of growth. He will take up the post in March and will be reporting to me in my new role as the UK Regional Director. I am also pleased to announce the promotion of Shirin Akhtar to Head of Marketing. Shirin has worked tirelessly to grow Pure London and Pure Origin and her experience will be greatly valued across the other shows.'

Martin Arnold is currently the Commercial Director for Fashion Retail & Jewellery at EMAP, incorporating Drapers and Retail Jeweller working across award-winning brands and industry leading events including Drapers Awards, Drapers Digital Festival and the UK Jewellery Awards. A passionate and experienced brand leader who thrives on working with his team to deliver profitable and sustainable marketing campaigns for customers, his experience includes leading complex portfolios with multiple brands as well as coaching and developing individuals, with various levels of experience, to achieve success. In his 20-year media career he has worked across most media formats and has built successful and long-lasting relationships with senior decision makers, both agency and client side across various channels; Fashion, Manufacturing, Business & Finance, FMCG/Retail/Grocery, Healthcare & Pharmaceutical. His experience encompasses event organisation, marketing and delivery, as well as sponsorship and delegate recruitment.

In her new role of UK Regional Director, Julie Driscoll will be responsible for ITE Group’s portfolio of the UK’s largest B2B trade events including Pure London, Jacket Required, Scoop, MODA and the Spring and Autumn Fairs, featuring over 6,500 exhibitors and bringing together over 100,000 buyers, shaping the future fashion and lifestyle retail landscape.

Julie was previously Managing Director of the ITE Fashion Portfolio and began her role as UK Regional Director at the beginning of January.
Julie commented on her new role; 'I feel honoured to be guiding these established retail events through an exciting time for the industry. My aim is to deliver a higher return on investment for our exhibitors and an unrivalled return on time for buyers. It is our role to provide the best platforms to showcase great design and innovation as well as nurture the brands and retailers of the future to ensure continued business success.'

Julie has 14-years’ experience leading world class brands to award winning status across various media including digital, sponsorship, publishing and more recently exhibitions at Emap, i2i Events Group, Ascential and now ITE Group. She was voted best UK Event Director in 2014 and has recently completed an MBA at Imperial College Business School where she was awarded the ‘Inspiring Woman Business Leader’ scholarship. Dedicated to nurturing young talent, often seen in her strategy for Pure London dedicating areas for emerging designers, Julie enjoys mentoring aspiring business leaders.
