It’s Tatty Teddy’s round

Me To You celebrations continue with PG Live lunch and party sponsorship

The drinks will be on Tatty Teddy at this year’s PG Live as it’s the 21st anniversary for Carte Blanche’s Me To You brand so they are celebrating at the show.

There’s to be a drinks reception on their stand at London’s Business Design Centre and they are also sponsoring the lunch room on both Tuesday and Wednesday 10-11 May, as well as the opening day after party.

Card Blanche Trade Marketing Manager Julia Andrews said “We will be showcasing our new plush and gift collection on the stand – and giving away some gorgeous limited edition Me To You bears.”

Talking of special occasions, the eighth outing of PG Live will also allow people to wish Her Majesty the Queen a happy 90th birthday as they can add their personal message to a special card at the show.

Britain’s longest-reigning monarch turns 90 on April 21 while the official celebrations will be taking place between 10-12 June.

The only dedicated trade show for the greetings industry, PG Live expects around 250 publishers, artists and designers from around the world to be exhibiting to buyers from more than 50 countries.

Roger and Carol Stephens, of Felicitations in Shepperton, Middlesex, said: “It’s a very friendly show, we do like the social side – you can easily get around and find what you need,” while Penmark Cards’ Mark Rees added: “It’s fantastic, definitely worth the trip from Derbyshire – it’s the show to choose if you’re in the market for greetings cards.”

For visitors to the show there’s a goody bag on arrival and plenty of free refreshments available from the famous PG Live tea trollies as well as the water stations, plus use of the Henry Cole Buyers’ Lounge with free WiFi – and the complimentary lunch available on both days between 1pm and 3pm.

And on Tuesday, as the event closes at 6pm the Carte Blanche-sponsored after-show party begins with free drinks for all visitors and exhibitors.

Among the exhibitors already signed up are Wendy Jones-Blackett, who have been at every PG Live since the first one in 2008 – and celebrate their own 20th anniversary this year.

Wendy, founder of the leading handmade and hand-finished publishers – said: ”It’s been an absolute wonder seeing the show grow and evolve each year. We’re launching new product again this year and PG Live is the perfect platform to do this.”

The full list of exhibitors is available on the website and registration to attend the show is also open.
