M&G join forces with fashion icon Zandra Rhodes

Museums & Galleries have announced their collaboration with Dame Zandra for a line of cards, wrap and stationery, featuring some of the British designer's best-known designs

The tie-up with the licensing specialists was revealed late yesterday, May 21, with many of Zandra’s iconic patterns reimagined on to paper products for the first time. You can read a special interview with Zandra on page 52 of the latest issue of Gifts Today HERE.

She told editor Sally Norton: ‘I’ve always thought Museums & Galleries have done a fabulous job with the other fashion designers and I’d see their products around in such surprising places, always looking so pretty. And now I’m thrilled to be working with them. My work has a graphic quality and that means it translates really well onto cards and gift wrap and so on.’

M&G creative director Ben Dorney says: 'Celebrating Dame Zandra Rhodes’ 50 years in fashion with an exclusive range of cards and stationery is an honour and a delight for M&G. The new Zandra Rhodes collection expands the exciting fashion-led side of our portfolio and brings her trademark style and colour – expect some pink! – to our range.'

The new Zandra Rhodes signature cards and gift stationery range by Museums & Galleries Ltd celebrates the fashion icon’s 50-year career of bold patterns, rich colour and irrepressible style, and launches exclusively at PG Live.

It’s the first time Zandra’s work has been licensed on paper products and her vivid and unique prints completely lend themselves to it. Zandra will be at PG Live on the second day to showcase her new range with Museums & Galleries, and she should be easy to spot thanks to her trademark pink bob. As she said to Gifts Today: '‘I’m lucky here in my studio that I have people with all sorts of brightly coloured hair, some even have rainbows,’ she says. ‘In that way, I suppose, I’m just an ordinary little pink-haired old lady!’
