Miss Milly in the finals of Chamber of Commerce Awards

Jewellery and scarf supplier, Miss Milly, is a finalist in the Most Promising New Business category of the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce (HWCC) Awards.

“We launched in 2012 with a very strong brand proposition that we have continued to develop,” explains Sarah Watmore, the managing director. “Miss Milly operates in a very competitive market and in order to stand out, gain and keep our customers, we work incredibly hard on design and marketing.

“We try to offer products with mass appeal that are different from those of our competitors whilst also offering great value for money to retailers and consumers. And in the background we are constantly reviewing our costs from the large overheads to the smaller minutiae.”

The HWCC states that the number of applications received exceeded expectations and were of an incredibly high standard, so to have got through to the final four in the category is a huge achievement.

“I am so very proud of what we have achieved in two and a half years,’ says Sarah. “The next stage in the awards process is a phone interview with a panel of four judges that lasts up to an hour. I would always advise new business start-ups to ‘be prepared to not be prepared for everything’ but I’ll be doing my best to think of all the questions they may ask me!”

As well as a stunning and varied range of costume jewellery and scarves, Miss Milly offers branded stands and packaging to create attractive retail displays. With a low £50 minimum order and no minimum order quantities, it’s definitely worth a look. Register online at to access trade prices or call the company on 01905 622509 for further information. Sales agents currently cover the South West, North West and North East of England, and Scotland.
