More buyers lined up for GA programme

Autumn programme includes John Lewis, Moonpig and Bonkers

Moonpig, Bonkers and John Lewis are the highlights of the just-announced autumn Meet The Buyer programme from the Giftware Association.

With seven names across five events – starting on October 4 – attendees are guaranteed up to 20 minutes face-to-face time with buyers where they can showcase their products on a display table.

Both GA members and non-members can apply to take part for the same cost but booking is essential, with each meeting having its own link, and all are taking place at the GA’s offices in Vyse Street, Birmingham.

CEO Sarah Ward said: 'Those who have attended before will know that, at each event, buyers from a major national retailer will be devoting time to meet Giftware Association members exclusively.
“We are presenting you with the opportunity to meet buyers from The National Gallery, F Hinds, Moonpig, Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, John Lewis and Ocado. We know our wonderful members will present them with a fantastic array of products that will excite them.'

October 4 – The National Gallery and Bonkers £96.44
The National Gallery is one of the UK's most popular tourist attractions with millions of visitors passing through it each year. With a destination gift shop enhancing the customers experience, the Gallery prioritises identifying new designers, homeware, jewellery and bespoke makers. Famous Scottish independent gift shop Bonkers now have two locations in St Andrews and Edinburgh, run by former GA national committee member Lindsey Adams, who is looking for eco-friendly gifts, personal accessories and ceramics.

October 11 – F Hinds £65
F Hinds are household and high street name jewellers with 115 stores and 162 years’ experience. They are looking for new and exciting design-led ladies’ and gents’ jewellery items plus special occasion gifts such christenings, weddings and anniversaries.

October 18 – Moonpig £160.34

Innovative online card suppliers Moonpig started in 2000, and pride themselves on having over 100 million moments where people have bought cards and sent them through their easy-to-use service. This year sees them branching out into more giftware to reflect their company mottoL “We’re all about making people’s days brilliant”. They are looking specifically for alcohol, soft toys, beauty and food gifting.

October 18 – Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust £50

The trust are the independent charity who care for the world’s greatest Shakespeare heritage sites in Stratford-upon-Avon. They will be looking for Shakespeare-related, bespoke products, food gifts, children’s gifts and licensing opportunities.

November 29 – John Lewis and Ocado, £160.34
The two huge household names will each be bringing two buyers who will be looking for innovative gift ideas to stock in John Lewis’s 50 UK stores and to feature in Ocado’s massive online retail presence. The John Lewis buyers are looking for stationery, time planners, giftwrap, partyware, gifts and candles. The Ocado buyers are on the lookout for beauty and gifting.
