Scott Inness to launch new designs at Scotland's Trade Fair

Iconic Scottish gift producer expands its range of licensed goods with a new Piper design and Thistle bunting, as well as introducing new products at Scotland's Trade Fair.

Major Scottish gift producer Scott Inness, is launching new designs at Scotland’s Trade Fair on 22 Jan and other trade shows. Its new ‘Scottish Piper’ design will complement the huge range of homewares, stationery and gift products that its produces as licensed goods.

This quirky and colourful interpretation of an iconic Scottish image will appeal particularly to tourists and lovers of quality, design-led Scottish products. The new Scottish Piper will be available on a tea towel, apron and mug initially.

Thistle Bunting will also be launched which expands the products the Scott Inness signature thistle is available on and comes in some new bright colours. The complete Scott Inness product range with all designs will be showcased at Scotland’s Trade Fair to allow customers to see all the different products and ranges in complementary designs.

Departing from a traditional single image item, Scott Inness have also created their own contemporary Tartan. As a colourful, tasteful modern tartan check, this new design will be available at first as table mats, coasters and napkins, sold by Custom Works and has just been nominated into Gift of the Year 2017.

Scott Inness is also launching notebooks and address books in the repeat thistle pattern, Scottie Dog and Stag designs; foldaway bags in the repeat Stag Design and repeat Scottie Design; and paper napkins in the Christmas Robin Design for Christmas 2017 and a new single Thistle design.

These new designs complement the existing product range which is available in homewares (tea towels, aprons, mats, mugs, disposable napkins etc), stationery (pencil cases, purses and notebooks), and fashion accessories (scarves, bags, cosmetic bags, umbrellas etc), making the Scott Inness brand much more versatile and available. All are well priced for impulse buying.

Scott Inness has expanded its product range hugely in the last year as it has concentrated on licensed products. Selbrae House handles much of the Scott Inness portfolio, along with D&C Supplies, Custom Works and Eurostick. These collaborations have allowed the company to expand its range of designs and offerings while the licensed holders can promote sales and marketing.

Scott Inness MD Gill Hastings said: 'For a year we have concentrated on design and product development, especially for licensed goods. We are now unveiling the new designs and products which widen our portfolio and allow customers across the globe to stock a ‘wee bit of contemporary Scotland’. Its success is plain to see as sales are growing steadily and popularity of the designs increases.'
