Pushing Pusheen

More licensing success for cat with character.

Pusheen the Cat is pushing for more licensing success as representatives Word Of Web and UK agents Fluid World announce a raft of product about to hit the market.

First to market will be licensed greetings cards, gift wrap and gift tags from Hype Associates, who are planning an initial range of 12 to 20 greetings cards starring Pusheen.

Appearing at retail by mid-March in independent gift, card and book stores, the range has a core target market of female teens and young adults.

Gemma, another major name in licensed greetings, plan a range of standalone cards and miscellaneous occasion captions in addition to gift wrap to appear at retailers from September.

Blueprint Collections, who design and distribute licensed stationery and bag collections, have a wide range planned from July, including notebooks, pens and pencils, stationery sets, keyrings, photo albums, bags, backpacks, mugs, money boxes and umbrellas.

And for autumn/winter Bluw have a Pusheen gift range including storage tins, mugs, aprons, lunch boxes, egg cups, party paperware, plates, cups, bags, thank you notes, air freshener, mini hot water bottles and a make-your-own Pusheen cookie kit.

Finally, character chocolate producers Kinnerton are planning some sweet treats for spring 2017 with seasonal chocolate items to include Easter eggs and advent calendars, along with some very special products that are, for now, a secret.

Other recent additions to the fast-growing Pusheen UK licensing programme include apparel, home textiles, toiletries, watches, ceramics, jewellery and accessories.
