Rainbow conjures up Puff, the Magic Dragon
A much loved character from song and storybook is joining Rainbow Designs’ licensed character line-up in an exciting new collection
Puff, the Magic Dragon, a dragon that lives forever, now stars in a charming new plush gift range unveiled in the character’s 50th anniversary year.
Featuring a Plush Musical Puff, the Magic Dragon and a Hand Puppet, along with a Book and CD set, Rainbow’s new collection will appeal to children of all ages and will be loved by parents too.
Puff, the Magic Dragon, first came to life in the song written by Peter Yarrow and Lenny Lipton which became a worldwide hit for Yarrow’s group Peter, Paul and Mary and is celebrating 50 years since it was recorded.
It has now been made into a classic children’s picture book which has sold one million copies since 2007.

The story is set in Honalee, an enchanted land of imagination, acceptance and love where the playful adventures of Jackie Paper and his childhood friend Puff, the Magic Dragon, take place.
Puff, the Magic Dragon, joins Rainbow Designs’ portfolio of Classic Book Brands including Beatrix Potter, Paddington Bear, Elmer, Stripy Horse, Roald Dahl, Spot and contemporary screen characters Abney & Teal, Charlie and Lola, Wibbly Pig and Shaun the Sheep.
