Boost your business with social media masterclass

Spring Fair join forces with The Guardian to help retailers hone skills

Spring Fair and The Guardian have created two masterclasses specifically to help retailers to hone their social media skills.

Informed by the research that Spring Fair conduct with independent retailers every season, all advice is given in the knowledge that indie business owners do not have teams of digital marketeers, or a limitless budget

Each three-hour class will take place at The Guardian’s offices in Kings Place, London, and they are also a great opportunity for retailers to meet their peers.

The first event is Social Media For Retailers, on Monday 4 April, at 6.30pm where social media trainer Amy Robson will explain that social platforms are no longer just for networking, they are an increasingly influential driver of consumer behaviour.

Participants will learn the key things retailers need to know about Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, plus advice on everything from developing a social strategy to creating viral content and how social media can help build relationships, engagement and revenue.

A week later, on Monday 11 April, also at 6.30pm, Blogging For Retailers will be the subject, explaining how blogs are a great way to develop customer loyalty and reach new audiences.

Aimed at independent retailers, this masterclass will cover the key aspects of running a successful blog – from creating engaging content, to running exciting competitions and campaigns.

Led by journalist and copywriter Johanna Payton, this fun evening lecture will help participants to get a new blog up and running and ensure it’s filled with engaging content.

They will also receive tips on using video and imagery well.

The classes cost £49 per person, including VAT, booking fee and refreshments. For more information and to book see Social Media For Retailers or Blogging For Retailers.
