Spotted for Top Drawer award

10 brands picked for showcase at Top Drawer – which opens on Sunday

Ten brands have been shortlisted for Top Drawer A/W18 Spotted Award.

After much deliberation, the Spotted Award’s panel of six industry professionals have chosen the 10 brands who will go forward to the final judging on Top Drawer’s opening day this Sunday, with the winner and two runners-up to be announced at 11am.

'Choosing just 10 brands from such a strong list was difficult,' said Spotted’s curator Charlotte Abrahams, 'but I’m delighted with the results. These will be the names to watch in 2018.' Each of the shortlisted brands will be showcased in Spotted area at Olympia, where Top Drawer runs through until Tuesday September 11.

Charlotte was joined on the judging panel by Annabelle Dodds, senior buyer for the V&A’s shops; AIM Brands owner Daniel Flower; Cult Vinegar founder Jonathan Brown; Nicky Sloan, MD of distributors Cubic Products, and furniture retailers West Elm’s PR and brand marketing manager Sophie Hughes.

The brands were judged on originality and innovation; commercial viability; clarity of brand and communication of message; and quality of the design. The shortlisted ten are: 18.Ten, Ben Langworthy, Cunning Cards, Ferrar, Finfo Design, Hirsh & Kirsch, Kesemy Design, Michael Guhry, Roadscents, Spots & Stripes.

With a unique selection of more than 1000 design-led lifestyle brands and thousands of new products across Fashion, Home, Gift, Craft, Wellbeing, Greetings & Stationery, Play and Spotted, Top Drawer offers buyers a one-stop shop to source from the very best brands and up-coming names.
