Stationery Awards winners revealed

Papersmiths, Exaclair and Quadrille among those getting to grips with 2019 trophies

The 2019 winners were revealed last night at Stationery Show London.

The judges included Katy Golden, head of gift at the Great British Card Company; Chris Lambert, founder of rapidly growing subscription box service Scrawlrbox; Sarah Laker, owner of Marple Stationery Supplies and figurehead for this year’s National Stationery Week #StationeryShopSaturday campaign; Sidonie Warren, co-founder of Papersmiths; Mark Hayhurst, sponsor and editor of Craft Business; Debbie Wigglesworth, paper Passionist from consultancy The Paper Collaborative, and Abigail Ball, deputy stationery buyer at Fenwick.

Tim Willoughby, director of show organisers Ocean Media, said: 'We had 377 entries this year, a huge number, for our judges to work through, and a testament to the resilience of the stationery sector in the face of tough times for retail.

'The competition was fierce – if you made it to the shortlist, you’re already a winner. Thank you to our key sponsors AT Cross and Go Stationery whose support this year meant that we could extend the Stationery Awards to include categories to recognise great stationery retailing and design for the first time. Thank you also to Craft Business and The Giftware Association who have each supported our Supplier Awards.'
