2016 was an incredible year for Spode as it celebrated the 200th anniversary Blue Italian.

An extensive campaign including POS, brochures, tea parties, PR, films and social media created a real buzz in markets worldwide. In fact, one film went viral, being viewed over 2.5 million times, highlighting just how much the Blue Italian range is loved across the globe.

Building on the success of this campaign, Spode will be launching a brand new category of products in response to customer demand – home fragrance. Since the acquisition of Wax Lyrical in May 2016, Portmeirion Group has developed an extensive offer of wonderful home fragrance products for the Portmeirion, Spode and Royal Worcester brands. Utilising the Group’s most iconic designs, an array of candles and diffusers, perfect for the gift market, will be launched in spring. One of these collections has been developed specifically for Blue Italian. Including beautiful and delightfully fragranced diffusers (and refills), tin candles, glass candles, jar candles, multi-wick candles and lidded jar candles, the collection is a welcome addition to Spode’s iconic design.
