TCG partner with Miffy

Toy company to launch new range for preschoolers

TCG, the fast-growing international toys and games company, is expanding its line-up of standout licensed brands to include Miffy, the classic property loved by generations of children and families around the world.

Miffy is also the star of her own hit series, Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small, airing daily on Nick Jr.

The popular brand, managed by Big Tent Entertainment and owned by Mercis Media bv, features the charming bunny character that was created in 1955 by renowned artist Dick Bruna. TCG’s Miffy games and puzzles for preschoolers will hop into retail beginning spring 2018.

'Miffy is an internationally-adored character and we’re very excited to be working with Big Tent Entertainment to introduce a range of games and puzzles in the US and Canada, so kids and families can interact with this adorable little bunny in new and extraordinary ways,' said Jessica Gavin, VP Marketing & Licensing, TCG. 'Through our fresh new collection, we look forward to making more friends for Miffy around the world.”'

Miffy’s Adventures Big and Small is a CGI-animated TV series that premiered in the US on Nick Jr. in October 2016 and airs weekdays on the channel, as well as in Canada on TVO and Knowledge Network.

The preschool series features the adventures of the sweet bunny whose explorations lead to worlds of discovery. Miffy’s popular 3D stop-motion animated series, Miffy and Friends, airs on Noggin.

Miffy was 'born' on June 21, 1955, when Dutch artist Dick Bruna first drew the character to entertain his young son while on a rainy seaside holiday in Holland. The series of picture books which followed used simple illustrations and rhyming text to explore the universal experiences of childhood, immediately earning Bruna international critical acclaim and establishing Miffy as a beloved children’s icon. Sixty-two years later, the Miffy books have sold more than 85 million copies, and are currently published in more than 50 languages.
