Tendence 2018 opens tomorrow

From a new Concept Store inspirations area to even more product, Tendence 2018 promises to deliver ideas and inspirations for visiting buyers

Buyers will have the opportunity to source even more must-haves of the season at Tendence (June 30 to July 3) as the show joins forces with outdoor living show Gardiente (July 1-3), giving visitors access to both shows and plenty of more on-trend offerings.

“Trade visitors will be able to benefit from a more diverse range of outdoor living products,” says Philipp Ferger, group show director, Tendence.

Buyers will get further added value with a Concept Store Inspirations area at Tendence 2018. Designed by lifestyle specialist Claudia Hain to “give retailers the ideas they need to arrange their shops, so they reflect their personalities and are, therefore, unmistakable”, says Claudia, visitors will find two different ideas for concept stores, Deep Blue and Mountain High, “creative examples that are easy even for smaller retailers to put into practice”, says Claudia.

Claudia will give guided tours of the area, explaining how retailers can set up a concept store so that classic sales space can develop into a customer magnet through new and individual retail concepts.
With the theme of creating shopping experiences, the returning Impulse retail area in Hall 11.0 will serve as a source of inspiration for retailers in table and decor themes.

There will be plenty of opportunity for professional discourse in the Live Tool area, with workshops and a variety of talks for open discussion of different approaches to the main theme: creating shopping experiences.

In the Social Media area, there will be graphic and practical presentations by bloggers and marketing experts, where retailers will be able to find out about what needs to be considered when using social media and how they can transform themselves from latecomers to digital forerunners.

The Hospitality area, designed to create an inviting atmosphere, will offer the ideal platform for networking or taking stock of things.

Tendence Academy will once more present exciting insights and relevant practical tips from industry experts to the retail trade. Retailers can discover how to sell successfully with social media; how to combine high-street retail and online success; and how to create the right product presentation.
