The Brambly Hedge Storyteller Children's Chair

Special design commemorates the re-launch of the Brambly Hedge licensing programme

Handmade at two-thirds the size of an adult wing chair, this captivating design has been crafted by a team of expert furniture makers and upholsterers to proudly commemorate the re-launch of the Brambly Hedge licensing programme in conjunction with the already flourishing series of books, written and illustrated by Jill Barklem.

Beautifully capturing the charming scenes from Brambly Hedge, the front legs of the chair have been intricately hand carved from ancient oak to recreate the books’ much-loved Hornbeam Tree, home to the Toadflax family of mice. Featuring an incredible attention to detail, subtle illumination glows through the miniature windows, whilst delicate flowers and foliage adorn the trunks, all accompanied by scenes from Brambly Hedge that have been lovingly captured on the piece. The chair is intricately upholstered in the traditional Brambly Hedge ‘Field’ printed fabric, accentuated with nut brown leather piping and brushed brass floral studs.

And the magic doesn’t stop there! Whilst sitting in the chair, children can listen to the heartwarming, narrated stories from Brambly Hedge, projected through subtly-placed speakers in the chair’s backrest and powered by a self-contained battery audio system built into the chair. An ethereal and immersive experience for lovers of this literary classic, both children and adults alike will fall in love with the Brambly Hedge story all over again, with the help of RhubarbLondon’s charming woodland creation.
